Research associate
I am a mechanical engineer who specializes in innovative mechanical/electrical systems design and development related to scientific research equipment. I have applied my skills to the fields of high temperature chemical sensors, underwater vehicle systems, oceanographic instrumentation, reactors for geochemistry applications, pressure vessels, and peripheral equipment. In the hydrothermal lab, I am responsible for deep-sea sensor/ sampler and experimental instrumentation development and manufacture and related field applications, primarily including research cruises to mid-ocean hydrothermal vent fields.
